I began my career in business coaching and consulting very early. I landed a job with a company consulting to larger corporate businesses – Coles-Myer group, ANZ Bank, Telstra, Zurich Insurance and the like. This gave me the unique opportunity to spend time in the businesses, working with their management teams. As a result of this I came to understand the difference between what made a great business, and what made a poor performer. I also got to see first-hand the differences between how great managers lead their organisation and how dud managers ran theirs.
 
Adding this to my years running my Camberwell business coaching business and several other businesses, I have over 10 years’ experience in steering businesses in the right direction. I'm also pleased to be in the top 1% of all ActionCOACH Business Coaches worldwide, measured on performance.

My clients today come from industries right across the board and all across Melbourne, from engineering and mining companies to direct-to-public retail stores, medical practices and landscaping businesses. Some of the businesses I work with are large companies with several locations, some are average-sized businesses, and some are partnerships with a small team and one location. I enjoy proving what Action teaches – an Action coach can help any business, any where.
 
Business coaching is a dynamic process
 
While I can offer my services as a keynote speaker, in-house trainer or workshop facilitator, what I specialise in is working one-on-one with Melbourne business owners in the twelve-month Mentor Program. Most of my clients start working with me on the twelve-month program. Many are so happy with the results we achieve that we continue to work together on a permanent basis. The work we do together evolves as the business does – we might start by growing the business, and later work on getting the business ready to sell. Or we might create a foolproof recruitment program, or make sure the business owner gets his or her life back and doesn’t spend 80 hours a week in the business!
 
The Mentor Program means I work with you and your business one-on-one, every week for a year. I like to say having a business coach is about 90% inspiration, and 10% disciple. As your coach, I’ll help you with the direction and strategy in every area of your business – but more importantly, I’ll make sure that you do what needs to be done to achieve your goals each week.
 
Some of my clients meet for their business coaching sessions in my Camberwell office, some prefer to be coached over the phone if they’re further away in Melbourne, and some do both. And I periodically visit all of my clients at their premises; just to make sure their coaching program is on track.

Since I joined the Action team in 2002, I’ve been privileged to be invited to attend all of the “top coach” conferences Action has held. In 2003, I achieved Gold Level Master Coach, and now hold the Action Man Award as well as being a Platinum Level Mentor Coach, a member of the President's Club, and ranked in the top 1% of coaches worldwide. In 2008, I won the Associate Coach of the Year Award for the Asia-Pacific Region. I think it’s important to live my life the way I teach my clients to.
