Run regular training sessions, and let your team share different ways they’ve discovered that make clients happy. If they’re ‘not the sort of people to do that kind of thing’, give them the sack and get some new team members!

- Encourage feedback from your team.
- Get everyone to share what worked, and what didn’t
- Encourage the sales team to further their knowledge with courses and seminars – and don’t be afraid to pay for it.
- Encourage a climate where it’s OK to constructively criticize.
