There came a point in our business where I knew we needed help.  After 3 years, our growth had reached the stage where we desperately needed to fine tune systems, employ quality staff and generally put some structure in place.  Shane, my business partner, and I were spending all our time working in the business, stressing about all the things that weren't getting done and we were just not making any progress.

Hi Carol,

In October of 2007 my wife and I started with Carol and Action Coaching.  At the time I was almost a one man band doing all the day to day work involved in running a retail shop with a combined workshop as well, where I was pretty well the only technician in the business.

then I took this call, it was a telemarketer which I usually hang up on because I really did not have the time but this day I decided to listen and it all sounded pretty good so a eeting was set up.  I have to admit at first I was skeptical but I had to do something I was working my butt off and just seemed to be chasing my tail (which later on I found out was exactly what I was doing and not really getting anything done) the cost was also a big out lay but we both decided we had to do something and soon.

We had owned the business for 9 years and could count on one hand how many weeks I have had off and the concept of working on the business and not in it was a whole new way of thinking for me.  We worked very closely with Carol, first on improving cash flow and in that first quarter we improved net profit by 20%.  We never thought we could afford to employ others.  But we could see that the only way to grow this buisness and to fee up some time and have a life we had to invest in good people to help and we needed to systemise.

We now have a Manager / Technician and a young gun that is learning and is also a technician.  By having these two new staff and some coaching and outside training we have improved sales in the business by at least another 15% and we will soon be looking for an office adminstration person to help in the office.

A lot has happened in the past 12 months.  We have great staff, we have a new website and a new name - all with the help of our business coach, Carol.  The best part of the whole year was having a 4 week holiday where my wife and I were able to go away together - first time in 10 years.

I have no hesitation in recommending Carol and Action Coaching, it has been a real breath of fresh air.  I look back on where we were 12 months ago and can't believe how far we've come.  Our December 08 figures where up by 20% on '07, the best month in the shop ever.  We now have good firm plans in place for the next 12 months and actually the next 5 years and I have no doubt we will achieve everything we have set out and more.

So thanks to Carol and Action we have a life and a business, instead of a business and a business.
