Business and Sport have many parallels.  They both exist in a competitive environment.  No matter how good you are today, if you stand still someone will pass you out.  And teamwork is the bedrock of success in both arenas.  Another parallel is that great performer, whether in the business or sporting world, if you look behind them you will find the support of  great coaches, mentors, and advisors.  Think of how often we hear of the success of a top golfer, or a winning team, associated with their coach.  Think of Declan Kidney for example and his association with Munster and then Ireland rugby.  Every great business person has a support team behind them also, whether they be official advisors, such as accountants, lawyers, mentors, business coaches or members of their board of directors, or unofficial advisors; people in their network that they rely on for advise and support when needed.
