Greg Thompson, Business Coach

Greg is a certified Business Coach at ActionCOACH, the world’s #1 business coaching franchise. His mission as a business coach is to lead, educate, and elevate passionate business owners to grow their business beyond their personal beliefs. Greg has been a business coach since 2007. Greg exchanges ideas with over 1,2000 business coaches located in 23 countries. He specializes as a business coach in time, team, money, and mindset.  

Greg has 31 years of retail experience. He worked as store director for 16 years at Hy-Vee Food Stores, one on the largest retailers in the Midwest. As store director, Greg managed four different locations, lead 400 employees, and generated $31 million in sales annually.  

After retiring from Hy-Vee, Greg started his own business in advertising. He started a small business to create a direct mail advertising piece in the greater Des Moines area. Within four years, he was able to triple the size of his business and directed three sales people. From this experience, Greg knows the day-to-day challenges of owning a business.

Greg works to help the central Iowa community. He is a member of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce and facilitates an exclusive group, MOXIE, Member Owners exchange Ideas and Experience. In MOXIE, Greg helps business owners discuss sensitive issues in a confidential environment. Greg has been board member of the Polk Count I Club which goal is to promote and grow University of Iowa Athletics. He has been a member since 2007.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from University of Northern Iowa. He is an Eagle Boy Scout. Greg lives his life in faith, family, and business.
