Introducing Harvey Cook………
Harvey Cook has over 30 years experience in business ownership and customer service starting in retailing, and then by selling and servicing life assurance and related products and is currently in his 10th year of business coaching.
Harvey is well versed in the needs of customers, and what it takes to gain their trust and their repeat business. In his assurance business he led a team of 8 people responsible for over 2600 clients with an annual premium income of over $3.0 million, and was a member of the ‘Million Dollar Round Table’ This was possible because Harvey learnt what it takes to maximise team productivity in a positive manner so they felt good about their contribution.
Whilst in the life assurance industry he served on the National Board of the Agent's Association for 7 years, including a term as National President where Harvey learnt how to run a successful board, and maintain excellent communication with Life Assurance industry leaders.
A former Toastmaster, Harvey has competed at international level, and won National, and Australasian prepared speech titles. He knows the power of communication, and what it takes to gain, and maintain the interest of your customers. In 1982 he was named “Toastmaster of the Year”, for New Zealand.
He has served his community by being involved with a boy scouts committee, and served a number of years on kindergarten and school committees.
As well as having a keen sense of humour Harvey is a firm believer in health and fitness summed up by his motto

A regular swimmer and runner, Harvey has completed 3 marathons with a personal best time of 2 hours 58 minutes for the 1989 Rotorua Marathon
Following a stint at coaching cricket and rugby, Harvey refereed rugby for 9 years, learning some very important ‘people management’ skills by refereeing to senior level.
Harvey’s Philosophy of Life and Business is summed up by:
