As the head coach and master licensee partner of ActionCOACH Heartland, my wife and I founded our business in March of 2002.  Today we have franchise partners and coaches in eight offices throughout Iowa and Nebraska.  My primary function is to recruit new franchise partners for open markets, recruit business coaches for our partners and to provide on-going training, marketing and support to our team.

Priorities

My priorities in life are my faith, family, and fun – which is where my work comes in!

Passion

As coach, speaker, and trainer, one of my passions to help professionals and business owners to maximize their potential. As I speak to groups and through my leadership training workshops, my main message to people is to understand the importance of the concept of “working harder on yourself than you do your job.”

Purpose

My primary purpose is to “help people change the way they think” because when that happens, I know people will experience changed results.

Background

I am a small town kid who grew up in a family business.  My dad taught me about business and life and that is why I love working with business owners and professionals who truly desire to make a positive impact in their world.   I worked in media right out of college and then invested 20 years in leadership roles with the Jerry Lewis Telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  In 2002 I became a master licensee partner with ActionCOACH.  In 2011 I joined the The John Maxwell Team as a founding partner.

Family & Community

My wife and best friend, Lonna has been my bride for 30 years and we have two boys and two grandsons.  I am continually on the go taking an active role in Rotary, several non-profits and local Christian organizations.   My passions in life include my grandsons, music, photography, travel and on-going learning.

Speaker & Author

Public speaking is one of my many favorite things and I take every opportunity to present to businesses, civic organizations and non-profits on a variety of business and leadership topics.  I co-authored my first book “GPS for Success” in 2006.  My next book in development will be titled, “The Boy with a Heart Moo Moo” subtitled ‘Leadership Lessons from an Underdog’ with an projected early 2019 release date.
