Introducing Jim Munro
1. Jim graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and ultimately served over 27 years in uniform with the Air Force. As a Command Pilot, he was recalled to active duty for Desert Storm and is the recipient of numerous combat and achievement awards/decorations. 2. To remain in the Spokane area, Jim transferred his flying commitment to the Air National Guard and began a financial planning practice with a national provider. He achieved recognition for both his award-level sales during his initial training period and his successful field training of numerous other representatives (including another award winner). Jim was also among the first dozen practitioners within the Spokane market to ear the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. 3. Jim then accepted a District Sales Manager position with the firm, gaining national recognition for his team's growth and performance over his initial 12 months in the position. Jim's efforts were instrumental in the district's growth from two representatives serving, primarily, the Spokane Valley area to 13 representatives, in four offices, serving most of the Idaho panhandle and NE Washington. 4. Returning to a personal practice to better meet the needs of his growing family, Jim's business development was interrupted by his Desert Storm service, but he returned to assume a key operational role within the organization he had helped expand. As Division Operations Manager, Jim developed numerous systems and practices that aided in both the recognition of the division as a "best practices" exemplar and its ability to temporarily absorb two, adjacent division operations, expanding its area presence to include western Montana, central Washington, and eastern Oregon. 5. Jim accepted a move to a Spokane-headquartered investment advisor firm with a nationwide presence to continue challenging his operational skills development. Over the next 5 years, he: 6. After 20 years in the financial service industry, Jim stepped away from the more structured environment to assist other businesses with attaining their goals through the sharing of his experiences and passion for success. He has contributed as both a business consultant to regional operations and as a contracted appraiser for commercial and residential real estate properties. 7. Jim discovered the ActionCOACH model while researching a property claim and recognized the opportunity to furth develop - and share - his attributes through a local operation that offered an approach and value system consistent with his experiences and beliefs. |
