Most useful from the event was a wake up call that unless you actually spend time planning the business you will drive yourself crazy being the business. Mark was so busy running from one client to the next that he was agreeing to do all sorts of things for all sorts of silly money - never giving himself the time to sit and really plan and think about the business. The event made us stop and think about planning the business. Mark now knows how much he has to earn per day to survive in business so can plan in work and think about how long it will take and knows how much he needs to charge. We were in the process of marketing the business. From the event our marketing is going to change to hopefully get us the right customers and better customers! Not too sure that we are going to be able to meet the demand of the customers when we eventually do advertise the business hopefully January - we'll let you know!
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed the seminar. There were many points that we have taken on board and feel that a meeting in the future is probable. It was clear to us that to get the maximum benefit from 'Action Coach' we had to ensure some of the basics were in place first. I had hoped to come away with a few tips as to how to make our business function more effectively, but I certainly didn't expect to be introduced to an entire business philosophy, with ideas and answers for every stage of business growth. The seminar was fast-paced, but with enough structure and a take-home booklet so that you could follow the topics easily. Questions were asked of us which really hit home - I was forced to be honest with myself about the state our business was in, and it wasn't really that pretty.
