Karie began working in the family business at age 14, and spent the next several years wearing various hats, from marketing to operations and process improvement.  After transitioning to marketing and public relations at the corporate level, Karie then went on to manage the largest accounts for a high tech company, where she secured over $1,000,000 in revenue within 6 months.  Her practical small business experience, coupled with a track record of corporate level success and formal education, make her an invaluable resource for business owners and executives.

But doesn’t pretend to know it all.  As an ActionCOACH, Karie belongs to a network of over 1,000 business coaches in 37 countries. With this network of brain power, along with her M.B.A., Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing, and over 1,000 hours of training as a Certified Business Coach, Karie is skilled at breaking down complex issues into simple steps, and has the tools to help her clients succeed. She has been also honored by the University of the Pacific as an outstanding alumnus, and is a Certified Toastmaster.   

 A Devoted Wife, Mother, and Community Member...

Scott Kaufmann is Karie’s favorite geek, and loving husband of 8 years.  They welcomed their first child, Kenzi Ella, in June 2010, and stay busy teaching her English, Spanish, sign language and animal noises.  As a family they are active in the community, having served together on the board of Kids4Tech, a nonprofit organization providing training and computers to underprivileged youth.  They have also volunteered extensively at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, have built several homes in Mexico through Amor Ministries, and Karie was also responsible for the development of a $25,000 scholarship fund.  Currently, Karie serves on the board of the Business Life Institute, and participates in Coaching for a Cause, ActionCOACH’s global pro bono coaching program that helps non-profits to increase donations and better manage funds.
