Katherine Doe began in business at only 17, and in less than 2 years was working as the National Administration Manager for the Jim’s Group home services franchise, developing new divisions. During this time, she impacted over 3,000 trades and services business owners helping them to run and market their services.
Following a successful stint at head office, Katherine owned Jim’s Dog Wash in Melbourne for a time, then went on to become the Business Manager for Jim’s Antennas, and later the General Manager for 6 divisions under the Jim’s Cleaning Group banner (the business sold over $4.4m in franchises during her time there).
Key achievements at both companies were based around increasing franchisee numbers (from 20 to 130 and from 150 to 300 respectively) and ensuring the success of franchisees through training, marketing and systems to measure improvements.
Katherine joined ActionCOACH as a general coach but soon found herself gravitating towards clients in the trades, property & building sectors a due to her background in trades.
This led to an introduction to the HIA. Katherine is now the official presenter for the HIA Builder Trade Nights around Melbourne as well as the Builder & Business Conference held each year in conjunction with the HIA Home Show.
She also writes for several national magazines about the best ways to win in trades, property & construction.
