I wasn't really sure what to expect before I attended the Action Coach seminar, arranged through my accountant. I had hoped to come away with a few tips as to how to make our business function more effectively, but I certainly didn't expect to be introduced to an entire business philosophy, with ideas and answers for every stage of business growth.
 
The seminar was fast-paced, but with enough structure and a take-home booklet so that you could follow the topics easily. Questions were asked of us which really hit home - I was forced to be honest with myself about the state our business was in, and it wasn't really that pretty. But as soon as I had realised this, the answers were presented to me. How to increase customer numbers, turnover, profit; dozens of simple marketing ideas, how to recruit the right staff effectively, it's all there. And delivered with such a positive attitude that you can't help but agree that using the Action Coach material, your business really can succeed - and more importantly, you can get to the stage where you run the business and not the other way round.
 
I left the seminar wishing that I had spare cash to invest in formal Action Coach assistance. But I have enough tips from the seminar to enable me to start making small changes; changes which when you add them all together, can make a big difference to profits and to the quality of our lives while we run this business. And when those changes have made me a little spare cash, I'll be investing it in Coaching. So much of the problem for us has been that we're on our own - there's no grown-up to turn to, no-one else to help us make the decisions. For us, that's what Coaching provides.
