No matter how much you knowledge you have about your business or the amount of experience you may possess within your field there are too many facets to running a successful business.
From starting out to growing a mature company there’s always more to learn. When I approached ActionCOACH, Kevin Smith about becoming my business coach I knew we had the right product portfolio to become successful but not all of the strategies and systems in place to do it rapidly.
One of the first questions Kevin asked me was how many hours I work “IN” my business and how many hours I work “ON” my business. At that time I worked at least 60 hours a week IN my business and really didn’t understand the question. Working ON your business is generally considered making sure the systems that you have in place are working properly. Working IN your business is using the systems you have in place.
Since taking Kevin’s advice in all aspects of our business we have clearly defined goals and a plan to become successful. Our conversion rates have drastically increased as well as our sales by putting Kevin’s advice to work.
