As a small business owner myself, I know what it is like to worry about the day-to-day survival of the business and making the amount of money needed to run my business and personal life. I understand what it’s like to put in long hours and wonder what happened to the dreams and vision I had for my life and future.

I am here to help you change all of that. We will work together to redefine your dreams and vision, and then we will put into place the necessary systems, strategies, and tactics that will allow you to turn your business venture into a thriving, successful one.

We define a successful business as: a commercial, profitable enterprise that works without you. As your Business Coach, I will function as an unreasonable friend who tells it like it is and keeps you working on the path toward your dreams.


So how does it work?

I work with the business owner(s)/managing director and often with their senior management team.

I focus on helping the business leaders to achieve their objectives, both near and longer term. Very often the challenges we work on with businesses are around:

Time -how much of your time are you spending in your business –and do you want to change it?
Team -do you want to improve the performance of the team in your business? 
Money -is there a way to improve the sales, profitability and cashflow in your business?

So how does business coaching work? 
* Regular contact (telephone or face-to face), usually weekly
* Set goals – long and short-term
* Work on one issue at a time together 
* Track key performance indicators, including cashflow and profitability 
* Test and measure new ideas to create more profit 
* Put systems in place 
* Celebrate successes

As a business coach I will

* brainstorm issues with you and work out a way forward 
* be there to discuss business and team issues in confidence 
* introduce new ideas and tools

Professional service business with cashflow problem
Situation:     Cashflow is tight – very stressful for MD and partners 
                       Business is growing – putting more pressure on cashflow

Task:             Set goals for business, with specific objective for cashflow improvement

Action:          Put targets and measures in place for cash management
                       Define cash management process, inform and involve key people
                       Outsource credit control
                       Build production and delivery process ensuring that customers’ needs are met consistently

Result:          Overdraft paid off within 12 months, other debts being repaid 
                       Less stress, especially at VAT time!

A bit about me.....
The most exciting thing I have learned in my business career is that individual people and teams working together can achieve amazing things when the right knowledge and commitment are teamed with enthusiasm and clear, achievable goals. This is why I am excited to be a business coach with ActionCOACH, helping people and businesses achieve what they want.

I started my career armed with an economics degree and have spent much of it in marketing and sales in the healthcare industry, managing businesses in the UK and Western Europe. I have managed sales teams and product launches and seen people achieve incredible results with a clear focus on what they want to achieve. I have also taken the lead in successfully rebuilding the performance of a complex $300m business in Western Europe, focusing teams across the continent on change and delivering superior results.

*  Marketing for Dialysis patients, trebled business in 5 years (£10m to £30m)
*  Launched product with £300m sales to date in UK. 
*  Built infusion business from $11m to $20m in 3 years.

Outside work I am married with two school-age children and one dog. I have a passion for sailing which has taken me across the Indian and South Atlantic Oceans, as well as local reservoirs and the English Channel.
