(Las Vegas, NV) - David Drewelow, ActionCOACH Master Licensee, has
named Jerry Akers as the newest ActionCOACH in Iowa. Akers will be located in Cedar Rapids, North East Iowa. Prior to becoming an ActionCOACH, Akers spent 32 years in sales and marketing
management. He was responsible for growing two firms from low sales into industry leaders.
He was named president of the state-wide organization, Mechanical Service
Contractors of Iowa for two years.
Having
managed and trained people for many years, Akers firmly believes that he has an
intimate knowledge of the issues facing business owners in the areas of
time, team, and money. Akers’ professional success had come at the cost of his health, and family
life. “I was at a point in life when I wanted to escape a job that paid well but had
taken a toll on my health and family,” he said.
Akers
decided to join ActionCOACH because he saw an opportunity to use his education,
skills, and experience to help other business owners succeed. “I helped build several businesses in the past and had the desire to build one
of my own. ActionCOACH gave me that opportunity. I also have a great
relationship with my Master Licensee and I knew that he would give me accurate
information relating to ActionCOACH and this helped with my decision to join
the company,” he said.
Akers
felt that for the first time, there was a company that had a system and a
passion perfectly matched with the need of small-to-medium sized businesses in
the marketplace.
“I am
excited be a part of ActionCOACH. It is an organization so driven to success
that it constantly strives to perform at its peak,” he said.
Akers
is a member of the Optimists Club, the MDA and the Chamber of Commerce.
