The six testimonials below are from clients who recently participated in our unique, new Career Coaching program. The testimonials are learnings achieved during the "Session 2" and "Session 3" components of the program. The objective in Session 2 is to determine your natural behavioral style so you know what kind of work environment is best for you. Session 3 is geared toward creating a finished resume designed to reflect your passions, style and motivations as well as past successes.

"The smallest memories can provide immense insight to who you are/what you like doing."
"There are common, underlying motivations among significant achievements that reveal what's at the heart of a person."
"What you can do well may not be what you love to do."
"External observations are very valuable."
"It's vital to write down observations and stare them in the face."

"The test results were oddly accurate; not precise, but amazing how a few tests could really describe me at least 80%. Some things on it were a little off, some I know, some I had to realize really were me... I learned mainly that much of the stuff I like or I can do really isn't me..."

--Drew Borquez

"Today was extremely important in determining some of my root motivations. The process of writing down all my achievements in detail and searching for common threads has uncovered many previously unknown characteristics of mine. Before this I knew I loved the sport of baseball. But there are reasons to why I do that can be gathered by looking at and analyzing other aspects of my life. I love baseball because I am good at it and I have a need to excel. I get my self worth from what I can do so I get a lot of self worth from excelling at baseball. I am number and data oriented, another reason I love the statistical part of baseball. I like tangible results, so I can check my statistics to see how I'm doing. It was great uncovering some of my motivations."

"Today we reviewed our online assessment results and came across some very interesting stuff. The paragraph describing myself was found to be very accurate. From my dislike of being criticized to my need of knowing what is expected from myself and/or team. I would most like a balanced work environment where some routine projects and troubleshooting exist. The list of possible jobs is interesting but I am worried about the education requirements for some of them. All of this information gathered is helpful in determining the "best" work environment or company culture for my success and happiness. Overall, I'd say this test is extremely helpful and insightful. I may need just a little more help running through the job list."

--Steven Fischback

------------------------------

"Today I took a huge step in understanding who I am and what actually motivates me. I was able to receive feedback from others after telling my most "motivating" experience. I was able to learn about myself on my own through the book, but hearing others reaffirm these opinions and generate new ones was extremely helpful."

"This class session was very instrumental in learning how to begin to apply my passions to a career/job. I learned about my ideal situation and how it related to my natural style. I am excited to go research the jobs that "fit" me so I can learn more about them. Finally, I can now explain, with greater ease, who I am..."

--Kyle Adkins

------------------------------

"I am learning the motivating factors and passions that I have so that I can find a career that incorporates/allows for them. Learning about myself helps clear up my goals and focuses me to find my next direction in life."

"I learned the foundation for creating a mission statement. I didn't have it complete, but I have a start and the knowledge about myself to complete/perfect it.  I learned how important the social factor of a job is to me, especially being close to a small group of people."

--Jake Adkins

------------------------------

"Today was a valuable lesson in learning what my passions are. The book was extremely helpful for me to understand what makes me tick, but getting an outsider's opinion has been essential. I now have a greater confidence and understanding as to what tools I bring to the table. Ideally, I will be able to use my understanding of these essential tools to secure a job that I am happy with."

"...Today's session was extremely rewarding. By analyzing my career assessments, I was given a great deal of insight to what jobs I would be happy doing. I now feel confident that I have a "niche" where I will be happy and successful working. Furthermore, using the book to prepare a "mission statement" has helped me identify specifically wheat I want out of a career."

--Dean Achelis

------------------------------

"Today's Career Development session provided me with much valuable insight. I found that after reading off a few of my achievements, being able to hear what others thought of my motivations while comparing those to own opinions was very helpful. Today helped me learn more about myself and what pushes me to get things done in many realms of life. Gaining this insight about myself allows me to take a step back and really understand why I do things or why I don't. Today ultimately provided me with great self-reflection."

Bob,

Taking your business coaching course was a big step in finding a job that suits my motivations and needs. Not only that, but the textbook and other tools provided feedback on what I enjoy most and shed some light on who I am. Tendencies that I recognized in my life but was unsure of where they came from were suddenly making sense. The reasons for my actions and internal thoughts were discovered. In listing all my accomplishments that have made me proud, I was able to find trends in what I either thought was important, or got joy from. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to take a few months to go through this material and use your expertise before job searching. If I jumped straight into a job, or even a job search, I would have likely been stuck doing a job that wasn't satisfying. Although, at times it was hard to believe that there really were jobs out there that I would love and that would perfectly suit me. I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind and found a job quickly that lined up pretty well with what I learned. I can't guarantee that I will be working at this job forever but it has been a month and I have enjoyed the job more than I thought I would enjoy "working". I would recommend going through this class to everyone, maybe even multiple times as we find ourselves searching for a job that doesn't feel like...well....a job. Thanks BOB! -- Steven Fishback
