Why Work with Rod Trahan?

Rod Trahan is a lifetime entrepreneur, a licensed ActionCOACH Business Coach and business owner.

Rod grew up outside a small Montana town on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Through his growing up years, despite a near 70% unemployment rate in his community, Rod relied upon his entrepreneurial instincts to fund his material interests.  For example, while other kids his age were running lemonade stands, Rod was selling eggs to their parents through his own egg farm, selling BBQ and Fireworks to tourists, and recycling metals.

Rod holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Montana.  After college he went to work for a national corporation where he quickly “climbed the corporate ladder.” After a few years in the corporate world and pursuing his dream of becoming an Olympic Athlete, Rod came back to Montana to start a family. 

Prior to starting his coaching and consulting business, Rod spent twelve years utilizing his entrepreneurial spirit improving fundraising results for a Fortune 400 non-profit organization.  Under Rod’s direction his department increased annual fundraising revenues from 3 to 4 million up to 8 to 10 million  dollars annually. Through his formal education and coupled with “the entrepreneurial school of hard knocks,” Rod has developed a keen understanding and appreciation for the concepts of Marketing, Sales, Leadership, Teambuilding, Profitability, and Time Management.

Rod’s goal is to leverage the entrepreneurial spirit and energy within this region, to create a world class standard of business excellence by coaching and educating small business owners to their fullest potential.  Although Rod has helped a number of small businesses by consulting with them, he gets more satisfaction in coaching business owners to greater success. By helping to create and nurture a profitable and sustainable business environment within the communities he serves, Rod feels that he is not only helping to enhance the standard of living, but also promoting by example the principles of honesty, integrity, family values, and community service.

Both Rod and his wife Nicole are extremely happy to be able to live and work in the same general area in which they grew up.
