BEKO develops manufactures and sells components and systems worldwide for an optimised compressed air quality.
We have been working with Business Coach Simon Williams since November 2007 and have built a strong relationship; we have experienced benefits on a number of different levels.
Although already successful, we are now a better organised, more focused business, using our time effectively. Specifically within the sales team we now manage our opportunities better and the group generally is more motivated and able to prioritise actions.

When it was first suggested that the assistance of a business coach may be just what our business needed, our immediate thoughts were twofold: firstly, how on earth would be able to afford a business coach? It has also brought into sharp focus that we have only to date succeeded in creating jobs for ourselves and for our employees … we don’t own two companies and work on them, we work ‘for’ two companies that we happen to own. We know that we have to continue to develop and change this focus and are happy to be doing so with the invaluable guidance that Simon and Action Coach has offered to us. We are only at the beginning of our journey, but we like the picture we see on the horizon.

I think it was back in October that Alan and I attended the event at the Jade Gardens, Redditch where you gave such an excellent presentation. Our guests were Nigel and Liz. Liz and I met for the first time that night, but discovered that we both wanted to do the ‘Playtex Moonwalk’ – a 26 mile walk around London, at night, in aid of breast cancer. So, we wrote it down.

I first met Simon Williams at a BOB meeting in Worcester just before Christmas 2007. He came to my notice through a 20 minute presentation he gave at this meeting of his role as a business coach. His enthusiasm for business came over as infectious and from references to him from others within BRX, also inspired me to get in touch with him.
I arranged a 1-2-1 meeting with Simon in January 2008 and it was quite evident through this meeting how very positive Simon is towards business and helping others to succeed in business. Although I was unable to take immediate advantage of his services on a 1-2-1 basis, he very kindly invited me to a ‘Profit Club’ meeting in February, which is a meeting of 12-15 business people. This was the second meeting of the group and I felt privileged to have been invited. I subsequently joined the group for a 12 month period.
I have now attended a further two meetings and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The ‘Club’ meets every month on the second Tuesday at the Crown & Sandys, Ombersley. The whole ethos of the ‘Club’ is to promote good and sound business advice through its members, and by helping each other grow in their business. It’s very much like having a board of directors meeting every month. The important aspect is that one is surrounded by positive people which can only be good for the growth of each of our businesses.

Thank you for an interesting two days, although I have over the years attended many sales/management courses it was refreshing, however for me it was the chance to break down barriers. Change is one of the hardest things to implement on whatever scale, especially in a long established family owned/run business where emotions are involved, it needs to be lead as well as bought into by employees. With this in mind I saw a glimmer of this in our Directors during the course I hope it continues and we can evolve.
Oh and I can earn more money for more holidays!!!!!!

Probably “one” if not the most enjoyable coursed I have attended. Simon kept everyone’s attention well throughout the 2 days. Load of extremely useful tools and techniques to take back to the business – will definitely be implementing systems. Use of role play will be used for staff to understand customers in more detail – PAIN! Pipeline – I worked most of last night following up on loads with staff that seemed to have fallen by the wayside!! – That was after 1st day training – result is potential “huge” lead for Agility H&S!
