The wisdom and business principles Steve has shared with me over the past 8 years has been priceless. It’s always when I think they’re couldn’t be that much more to learn, that he turns around and enlightens me with a ‘whole new chapter’. As the ups and downs of business arise, Steve has always brought a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Undoubtedly, one of the biggest advantages of the coaching program is the accountability I have had with Steve. Coaching is not a quick fix and a lot of hard work is needed, however being accountable to someone has forced me to do things I most probably wouldn’t have done (unless I learnt the hard way).

When I look back at the 8 yearsof business coaching, it’s amazing to see how far Platinum Electrical has come. As a business that started with only 2 vans, 2 employees and operating from my parents’ house, we now own our own commercial building, have a fleet of 12 vehicles, employ 30 staff and will turn over in excess of $3 million this year.  I have realised that business coaching will not just be a phase in my life, but will be important throughout my whole business career. I have now franchised the business nationally and have over 40 vans around Australia growing at over 50% per year....WOW what an amazing journey !

We are now in our 2nd year and cannot believe the progress we have made.  If someone had have told me we would be where we are I wouldn’t have believed them.  It is not until writing down what we have achieved and looking back on the old post consult forms that I think “we have come so far and yet I still feel there is so far to go”.  The truth is in our figures, test & measure sheets, targets, budgets, production system, installation system, Customer Care program (all of which were non existent prior to coaching) and the fact that we are not looking for wages money every week and waiting on $200K in outstanding debtors to arrive in the mail. Tim and I can actually have days off and go on holidays without the business falling apart.  THIS IS LIFE. We will continue with Steven in the business coaching for as long as he will have us. People often ask “how is the business coaching going” and I reply by saying “without it we would not be going”.
