Head Coach
S. David Drewelow
As the head coach and master licensee of ActionCOACH Heartland, my wife and I founded our business in March of 2002. Today we have franchise partners and coaches in eight offices throughout Iowa and Nebraska.
I help people determine if getting into business for themselves is the right thing to do and if ActionCOACH and business coaching is a good fit. I also recruit for area managers in our open markets and business coaches for our franchise partners in established markets. My team provides on-going training, coaching, and support for the franchise partners and business coaches in our territory.
Priorities
My priorities in life are my faith, family, and fun – fun is where my work comes in!
Passion
One of my passions to help professionals and business owners maximize their potential. When I work with people, I stress the importance of “work harder on yourself than you do your job.“
Purpose
My purpose is to “inspire changed thinking” because when people change their thinking, then they will experience changed results.
Background
I am a small town kid who grew up in a family business. My dad taught me about business and life. That is why I love working with people who truly desire to make a positive impact in their community. Right out of college I worked in media and then invested 20 years in leadership roles with the Jerry Lewis Telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In 2002 I became a master licensee with ActionCOACH. In 2011 I was a founding partner of a new venture with The John Maxwell Team, a new leadership training and certification company founded by best-selling author and speaker, Dr. John C. Maxwell.
Family & Community
My wife and best friend, Lonna has been my bride for 30+ years and we have two boys and three grandsons. I am continually on the go, active in Rotary, several non-profits, local Christian organizations and my church. My passions in life include my grandsons, music, photography, travel, sports and life long learning.
Speaker & Author
As a public speaker, I talk with businesses, civic organizations, non-profits, and educational institutions on business and leadership topics. I co-authored my first book “GPS for Success” in 2006. My next book in development, “The Boy with a Heart Moo Moo” is subtitled ‘Leadership Lessons from an Underdog.’ Our projected release date is the spring of 2020.
