Business Owners Turn to
...for coaching in order to achieve their goals and dreams.
Combining the powerful systems ActionCOACH has developed over the past 22 years with his own deep experience, Peter coaches his clients to reach their goals, build their businesses and achieve balance in their lives.
Asked how he got into business coaching, Peter says,
“It was really a combination of a desire to help and insatiable curiosity. I like helping people, solving problems and understanding how small businesses work.”
As a business coach, Peter wants owners to know that his goal is to make sure that every client’s business is really working for them. This includes making sure that:
- The business is a financial success;
- The owner gets out of being buried in their business 80 hours a week;
- The owner understands what they need to learn and do to achieve success;
- They have a plan to both build and ultimately exit their business on their terms.
Helping clients solve problems is a big part of coaching. Doing so requires systems, experience, perspective and yes, a sense of humor.
“Business should be fun. Often I find that when people talk to me about coaching, the fun is gone from business for them. One of my goals is to help them bring it back” says Peter.
Peter draws on a very broad set of career experiences.
Born in Maine, he attended Princeton University and graduated with honors in engineering.
From college, his first job took him into the demanding, hands on field experience of doing oil exploration in the Middle East for 3 ½ years. When hijacking became the growth business in the Mid East, he moved to Silicon Valley, got an MBA degree from Stanford University and plunged into high tech. His roles included forecasting and planning, purchasing, operations and more, in roles that included several years as Vice-President of Manufacturing and Vice-President of Operations.
After 19 years in everything from start-ups to billion dollar businesses, it was time for a change. So, in 2006 Peter embarked on his coaching career and joined ActionCOACH, first as a coach, and then as a Master Licensee in charge of recruiting and supporting other coaches. Doing both roles provided the best of both worlds for Peter. He learned how to coach and get results for his own clients as well as getting exposure to lots of other coaches.
